Fire protection equipment servicing registration/licensing deadline approaching

Practitioners working in the routine servicing of fire protection equipment not yet licensed or registered don't have long to do so.

If you know someone working in the routine servicing of fire protection equipment that is not yet licensed/registered, please share the following information with them. 

The deadline for practitioners to be licensed/registered under the new restricted classes for routine servicing of fire protection equipment is 31 July 2021.
If you are working on the routine servicing of fire protection equipment you must be registered or licensed with the VBA.
Following consultation with industry, the Victorian Building Authority (VBA) introduced four new restricted classes for the routine servicing of fire protection equipment.
After 31 July 2021, unregistered or unlicensed practitioners carrying out this work will be subject to VBA enforcement action. With the deadline quickly approaching, the VBA is preparing to ramp up its compliance monitoring activities in this space.
