BlueHats Forum 2020

In 2018 Incolink launched the Bluehats suicide prevention program to combat alarming rates of suicide in the construction industry — around one every day Australia-wide.

Since then, nearly 270 construction workers have said 'enough' to suicide and trained to become a Bluehat. Plus, over 3,500 workers have taken part in suicide general awareness sessions which are a pre-requisite for Bluehats training.

For a worker who's doing it tough, having a Bluehat at their job site means instead of bottling their problems up and running the risk of escalating the situation, they have someone they can talk to who can connect them to support services if they need it.

When a worker feels like things are spinning out of control, taking this first step and talking to a Bluehat can be a real circuit breaker.

The Bluehats2020 Forum is an acknowledgement of the difference the Bluehats program is making towards reducing suicide in our industry. As a key stakeholder in the industry, we invite you to join us for this ground breaking event.
