State and Federal Government support packages

State and Federal Governments are providing support through a variety of financial support packages for people and businesses impacted by COVID-19 including financial, job and business support. The amount of "COVID-19 Disaster Payment - Victoria" you can get depends on your situation. To read what you may be eligable for read here.

Pandemic Leave Disaster Payment

The $1500 Pandemic Leave Disaster Payment is a one-off payment to help Victorian workers who have been directed to self-isolate or quarantine for 14 days, or care for someone who has been directed to self-isolate or quarantine. The Pandemic Leave Disaster Payment recognises that the requirement to self-isolate or quarantine at home can cause a financial burden for some individuals and families who are without an income during this period.Discover more and find out who is eligible
$450 COVID-19 Test Isolation Payment The Victorian Government is providing a $450 COVID-19 Test Isolation Payment to support Victorian workers, including parents and guardians, who are required to self-isolate while you wait for the results of your COVID-19 test.

Financial support for PPTEU members.


The COVID-19 early release of super program closed on 31 December 2020. You can no longer apply for early access to some of your superannuation.


Incolink now has only one account, the Incolink Redundancy Account. Incolink has moved to one account to make it easier and fairer for workers. Visit the Incolink web site to read about the changes.

It is recommended members register with the "WorkerLink"portal for claims.

The PPTEU is currently working with the CoInvest board to allow special access to long service leave funds for members affected by COVID-19.

Members are advised to contact Centrelink direct for any Government entitlements.

Free 24/7 Counselling and support.

All members including regional based members can access Incolink counselling services across Victoria and Tasmania simply by calling 1300 000 129 anytime.

  • Grief and loss
  • Alcohol & other drugs support

A great initiative has been achieved by the members "Wellbeing and Support Services" at Incolink to provide free 24/7 support to Members requiring counselling and support. These services are made available by Union Member contributions to Incolink through your redundancy fund as part of your EBA.
